Clean up on aisle 9

Some don’t feel comfortable with the idea of re-creating themselves; they feel they are setting themselves up for failure, trying to be who they are not. Yet they fail to realize that when we choose to re-create we are digging within to reconnect with those long lost dreams and we are opening ourselves to the idea of pursuing such dreams. It’s not about becoming who you weren’t meant to be, it’s about becoming who you forgot you were meant to be and believing you can do it. Recreating is basically doing more, changing your course, regaining faith in you and knowing you are meant for more. Let’s face it we have spent years believing life is how it is and there is nothing we can do about it. Some of us feel that nothing good will ever come our way and we settle into that life even though we hate every minute of it. It affects our inner peace, our relationships, our social life, it impacts us completely yet we keep moving forward because “its life’. Well, I am here to tell you, this is not living, it’s existing. This so called life is a sad version of what could be your life. It is less than you deserve and you will not find happiness until you begin moving toward the person you were meant to be. So what do you do? “How do I begin over after all these years? How do I get started when I am broke, abandoned, demoralized?” All great questions yet there is no simple way to do it. You have to start by connecting the dots between the past, present and future. You need to get clear on what it is you want and why you want it. You have to look at the mess you call life, and identify what works and what doesn’t so that you can effectively begin to clean up the mess. It is not an easy or pretty job but then what cleanup is? It might not be fun but it is possible, yet you will need to be willing to getting uncomfortable in order to begin to find the answers you seek and the strength and courage you need.
