Everything seems to be going well, things are finally picking up and the pieces to your puzzle of life seem to finally be coming together. Yet as good as it all seems, something is missing, it feels as a piece of your heart is torn off. You try to brush it off yet the feeling is there, it’s present. What do you do? How do you pretend everything is fine?
How many of you have felt this way? I know many of you know exactly what I am saying because I hear this all the time. The truth is we need to feel, we need to understand those emotions, we need to come to terms with why we feel as we do and YES we need to learn from the hurt.
Making sense of things is not easy and sometimes things simply do not make sense. Yet we must do our best to move forward, but how? How do we move forward? The only way I know to do this is by being honest, not just to others but to us as well. It’s OK to accept you’re in pain; it’s OK to acknowledge you are confused. It’s OK to be human, feel it, understand it but don’t allow yourself to get stuck there.
When the pain resurfaces don’t ignore it, face it and commit to moving forward.
